Our optometrist, Dr.Jeffrey Krill, has been a Florida board certified optometric physician since 1985 and is also licensed in three other states. His grandfather became legally blind from Age-Related Macular Degeneration which began his interest in becoming an optometrist. Dr. Krill received his undergraduate B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh, another B.S. degree in Visual Sciences and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. He did four externships his senior year including Low Vision at the Optometry school, a large contact lens practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL, a large multi-disciplinary practice in Reading, PA, and a medically oriented externship at Fort Sam Houston Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.
Dr. Krill has volunteered on two missions to Cap Haiten, Haiti to perform eye examinations and treat various eye diseases.
Dr. Krill is an Eagle Scout, was an honor student throughout his educational years, and has been an active member of the Sarasota/Bradenton community since 1985.
He has an 18-year-old daughter attending Norwich University in Vermont and enjoys spending his free time fishing, boating, camping, hiking, hunting, ATV riding, exercising, playing tennis, and traveling.
Dr. Krill provides eye examinations at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club Optical in Sarasota, Florida.
